TRON is a decentralized cryptocurrency payment platform for worldwide value transfer and its native token (TRX) has been migrated to the mainnet. Also, users are able to access the platform’s digital wallet, known as the TRON Wallet where they can keep their digital assets safe. It supports desktop and mobile devices.
TRON picked up an Internet technology company called BitTorrent Inc. based in San Francisco, which has helped it to be able to design distributed technologies which scale efficiently. With this acquisition they are better equipped to keep pushing the boundaries and maintain control of data and content for creators and consumers.
The TRX token used to be called ERC-20, but the new name was adopted when it migrated to the TRON mainnet. The token acts as the medium of exchange for users of the platform.
